Panel upgrades & service changes

Older 60–100 A panels weren't built for heat pumps, induction ranges and EV chargers. We upgrade service entrances to 200 A, replace obsolete or recalled load centers, and leave you with a labeled, photographed panel schedule.

Code callout: modern residential code requires AFCI/GFCI protection on most living-area circuits. Every panel we set is torqued to spec and documented for the municipal inspector.

EV charger installation

A proper Level 2 install starts with a load calculation, not a drill. We size the circuit to your panel's real headroom, pull the permit, and mount the unit where the cable actually reaches both charge ports in a two-car garage.

Safety callout: EV circuits run at high load for hours — undersized wire or a shared circuit is a genuine fire risk. We install on dedicated circuits with the correct conductor gauge and a load-calculated breaker, always.

Lighting design & installation

Good lighting is layered: ambient, task and accent circuits that can be dimmed independently. We design the scheme, run the circuits and finish with fixtures from our own vetted catalog — or yours.

Rewiring & remediation

Fairview's older housing stock hides knob-and-tube, cloth-insulated conductors and 1970s aluminum branch circuits. We rewire strategically — fishing new runs through existing cavities to keep drywall repair to a minimum.

Insurance callout: many carriers surcharge or decline homes with knob-and-tube. Our remediation report is written to the format underwriters ask for.

A 90-minute audit that actually opens the panel: thermal imaging on breakers and lugs, GFCI/AFCI function tests, receptacle polarity mapping and a prioritized, plain-English report.

Smart home wiring

Smart devices are only as reliable as the wiring behind them. We add neutrals where old switch boxes lack them, install smart switches and dimmers correctly, and run structured low-voltage for hubs, cameras and access points.
